K2 items disappear in administrator Joomla! 1.7

I've experienced something weird in an almost clean Joomla install in 1.7.2
After a couple of days of having installed with no problems a K2 component, suddenly the items are gone in the administrator view. No filters of any kind. They simply gone.
But they show up in the front end and obviously they are in the database, but somehow they disappear from the admin view and I can't edit any item.
It has happened to me twice.
My site is multi language and other components I have installed are JCE editor and a shopping cart called Joomshopping that up to this day have never showed weird behaviors.
Any one have experienced something like this?
Cheers

I guess this is the file that handles the queries to the database to show the items...
Mines are on the database but not displayed in the backend list.
Help appreciated.

I am also facing the same issue when installed K2 in JA T3 framework used for the JA Teline IV template. The main admin icons have disappeared from the backend of Joomla 1.7. The main mega drop down menu associated with the default template with sample content is also not working in the front-end after the K2 installation. I am using it in my local system for development purpose.
But I think, eventhough the admin quick icons in the backend are absent, when K2 is accessed from the components menu, it is going directly to the items page and every other K2 features are also accessible as separate tabs.
Please let me know if there is any way around this problem.
Thanks.

I don't know if this might help your problem but check if from the backend K2 administration, using the parameters, you can modify the CSS & JavaScript Settings.
Maybe changing the jQuery library handling to a Load v1.6.3 (local copy) instead of the remote copy that is set by default could make it work.
But the "ghost items issue" might still be present. The table body is not displayed.
Hope it helps. :)
Cheers

Many thanks. I've checked filters and is not such a thing...
By the way, the problem affects not just the items but also categories.
Thanks for helping.

1. Categories are trashed?
2. You are not the super admin and has no access to these articles?

I've checked all permissions and access levels and list filters. They seem to be OK. I've checked the database and the items and categories are there.
I've set up a menu item to list all the categories on the front-end and that appears to work well. I'm stuck now. Anyone any ideas?
Cheers in advance

Super User cannot see Items in list from other Authors. Only if it is "Last modified by Super User".
And Authors cannot delete Items that was created by Super User and converted to "Author".

Disregard this one. I am stupid. My browser changed Admin link from live server to localhost. Difficult to notice.
But i still have problem with K2_JERROR_ALERTNOAUTHOR. Despite i made new K2 group with all permissions and allowed User to delete its own Items.
