There are two extensions for uploading csv files to k2
see

William,
Unfortunately, both those options are for Joomla 1.5 only. Content Uploader Pro is 1.7 compatible, but only imports K2 items in the 1.5 version so far, while Individual IT's importer is only available for Joomla 1.5. Not sure if Individual IT's one is compatible currently too with the latest K2 version.
So the question "importing content into K2 via csv for joomla 1.7" still remains unanswered... anyone got ideas? I'm about to manually import a spreadsheet via phpMyAdmin to do the first incarnation of this via Joomla 1.7, but would certainly in future like to see it.
Why it's not a feature of the core k2 Component, I don't know?!? Future feature?!? It would certainly make importing directory style data easier from a third party data source.
