Simple questions. hopefully a simple answers. Sorry for any ignorance, I am quite new to K2...

I have searched around here and on the web and can't find anything pertaining to creating extra fields. Is this even possible or is it considered a hack?

Second question: Is it possible to create an extra field that is a dropdown list of all the tags? - like a dynamic list...

No one has experience with creating new fields? :(

This is the only way i have seen to add extra fields without hacking core files. Not avail for 2.5 at the momement. www.jiliko.net/extensions/k2-sherpa.html. At the very bottome of the desc it says "add new sherpa extra field types via plugins"

Thank you!! I have bookmarked it... my concern is always with compatibility between components. This is the reason I have switched to K2 because they seem to be right on top of the Joomla updates.
