Migrate Joomla content to K2 was created by Stefanos
Hi!
just found K2 and i found the enhancements appropriate for my web site.
The problem is that i have a lot of content in Joomla 1.5 that i want to migrate.
Is there an automated process for that or i have to manually do it.
Thanks

From the components menu select K2, at the top right select Import Joomla Content. DO THIS ONLY ONCE to avoid duplicates. Sections will be categories, categories will be subcategories

I have a J1.5 site which I'm planning to upgrade to 2.5 shortly. I have a lot of content which is already in K2 article format. It's one of the largest sites on my host's cloud servers. What's the best way to approach this?
Create a new J2.5 installation and import from the 1.5 version?
Thanks for any suggestions

Check this blog post...
getk2.org/blog/item/658-k2-v255-coming-out-next-week-now-supported-by-52-language-translation-teams
I would wait and see the new version. Do not start without akeebabackup first
There are several posts here already about upgrading, which according to the blog post will be fixed in the new version
