Problem with item meta tags

I have a problem I couldn't find out how to solve it.
All of my k2 items get their meta tags from parent category (or menu) not from the items.
I have a k2 category page(menu) which lists items in a category, this menu has some meta infos and this meta tags are shown even when I open an item from this category page.
This is the category page:
www.tararadesigners.com
How can I set k2 to show the item meta tags instead of parent menu meta tags?

Give a try to the SVN version of K2 and let me know if it resolves your issue. You can grab the SVN version at getk2.org/assets/svn/

Thank you for yours indeed!
I upgraded K2 to latest SVN. It works great ... but meta tag "description" description issues are still present.
edited as was not accurate enough - more in the next post:
Here is what I found:
- K2 item created in existing K2 category linked to the existing menu items - takes meta tag "description" from category and even if it is moved to the brand new K2 category it is still with old K2 category mata tag!
- K2 item created in the brand new K2 category AND linked to the NEW menu is OK (even if it is moved to the existing K2 category it has its own metatags!
- K2 item created in the brand new K2 category AND linked to the OLD menu is corrupted
- if I copy the existing K2 item and move it to the new K2 category AND linked to the NEW menu it is OK - it has its own meta tag "description"
So it must be something with the existing menu items and K2 category code - item saved in this category somehow gets bad metatags.
Do you have any idea what files/tables should I check?
My test site (viev of the category with K2 items) is here:
www.witraze.info/art-glass-gallery/stained-glass/stained-glass-public-buildings

Sorry but my previous post wasn't accurate.
Menu items are linked to the K2 categories. On all of my sites there are issues with meta tags description in K2 items.
Here is what I found after more trials:
in last K2 Version 2.6.2
- K2 item - takes meta tag "description" from menu item if menu item metadata description is present
- K2 item has its own metatag description if menu item meta tags are left blank
- K2 item takes meta tag description from begining of item text if menu item meta tags are left blank and item meta description is left blank
- K2 menu item tag description takes meta tag description from menu item meta tag description if it is present
- K2 menu item meta tag description takes meta tag description from begining of category text if menu item meta tags are left blank and category meta description is left blank
So it must be something with the menu items and K2 category code.
I can override this by not defining meta description for menu items and defining it in sh404SEF . But it is not what it should be.....
My site is here:
native K2 view - items with menu item meta description - what is wrong)
www.witraze.info/art-glass-gallery/stained-glass/stained-glass-public-buildings
corrected with sh404SEF: menu item view with it own meta description and items with their own meta descriptions - what is OK)
www.witraze.info/galeria/mozaika-wenecka

What's the issue exactly? This how it is supposed to work. If no metadata is found from the menu then it generates metadata from content.

Thank you for your time indeed Lefteris!
The issue is that all K2 items linked to the menu item - takes meta tag "description" from menu item if menu item metadata description is present AND meta tag descriptions are identical for all K2 items linked to the menu The original K2 items meta descriptions (set in K2 items manager) are NOT VISIBLE.
Here is the example: www.witrazesc.com.pl/witraze/witraze25test/art-glass-gallery/venetian-mosaic
All of the items (mosaics works) has identical tag description wheras I set them to be specific to every item.

I have my meta descriptions filled out for each article: awesomescreenshot.com/0a2ogmi10
But as you can see by view the page source of the article: www.yakangler.com/fishing-kayak-reviews/item/1734-review-jackson-kayak-cuda-12
It has the same meta description of the parent category: www.yakangler.com/fishing-kayak-reviews
The item should be displaying the meta description I filled out here: awesomescreenshot.com/0a2ogmi10 but it shows the description from the parent category instead here: awesomescreenshot.com/0ccognibb

I deleted meta description tag from menu items and put them to the sh404SEF menu items meta description.
This enabled the K2 items meta descriptions to be visible.
I think it should be possible with the use of K2 only but it isn't. Hope that The K2 update will solve this soon.
Another issue is the Tag page linked to the K2 tag and not linked to the menu item. There is no way to put the meta tags there.

I would like to also remove the type=article as that is not always accurate. Hell, it would be awesome to be able to change it to the appropriate setting - example. If I write a recipe I want that type to be food. If I am writing a product sales page I want to make it product.
