This is the error message I am seeing on the back end:
Warning: Creating default object from k2empty value in /home/xxxxxxxxxxxxx/webapps/joomla25/administrator/components/com_k2/models/categories.php on line 474

What do I need to do to fix that?

Goto Joomla Global settings, server tab, turn error reporting to none

You can open categories.php in any text editor and put
