problems with category submenu was created by Uldis
Hello,
I've been banging my head against wall with this.
I have a main menu with 3 levels, but only 2 will be shown at all times. That's why I'm having a secondary menu.
Idea is very simple.
Main Main structure:
Top category
- - subactegory 1
- - subcategory 2
- - subcategory 3
- - - sub sub category (this level inst't visible)
When I'm in Top category Secondary menu displays:
subcategory1
subcategory2
subcategory3
when I any of subcategories it's items get displayed
I'f in main menu I choose subcategory3 secondary menu should display:
sub sub category
So far I'm using K2 Tools to display subcategories, but this isn't very good solution, since I need to create new module for each menu Top category, and new menu for each subcategory which has sub sub categories. After these modules are created I must select correct pages to display them in. And this whole process can be quite time consuming
This solution works, but only partly. If I use main menu everything works as it should, but If I use secondary menu to navigate within second level.
For example
1. Using main menu I click on subcategory 3, secondary menu shows sub sub category.
2. If I use secondary menu to click on subcategory3, this menu doesn't change to display sub sub category.
I hope I made this clear, but if not here is test site - site
Wokring scenario
1. hover over "Zivju audzētāva"
2. select "Makšķerēšana" from drop down
3.See how menu on top left shows child category
Problematic scenario
1. Click on "Zivju audzētava" on main menu
2. Click on "Maksķerēšana" from side menu (top left)
3. Notice that left menu doesn't change, to display child category
