I have wasted several days searching for a clean answer how to do this. Can't afford wasting any more.

The Category: Select a template selection list.

How to add there custom templates ? I need different index.php for the home and for some categories a third template.

Please provide me some support.

This referes to K2 templates not Joomla! templates. And since you wasted several days you can spend another 5 minutes and read the documentation getk2.org/documentation/tutorials/item/174-templating-with-k2-and-the-concepts-of-sub-templates
