RSS is widely used nowadays. We can choose from multiple news feed aggregators to syndicate the news of a favorite site. These readers support additional details, like the name of the author. It would be great to add these ones to the K2 generated news feeds as well. Please see this post in the Joomla! Community Forum.

I agree. In addition to the author, I would like to see K2 item images included in the RSS feeds. Both of these things are included in the RSS feed for regular joomla com_content articles.

Have you guys seen any ways of getting this to work?

I figured out that the Atom feed does include the author, even though the RSS doesn't.

I managed to play with the PHP to rig images into the feeds for my site. I'll try attaching the instructions as a text document but if that doesn't work then I can send it to anyone who wants it.

it works by default. Just go to Parameters. Than check "Introtext cleanup" to No. So it opens all html tags in your feed.

I think you misunderstood what we're saying. We're not saying that the feeds lack images that have been inserted into the Intro Text or Full Text. We're saying that they lack the Item Images that have been uploaded for them. The fix I posted inserts the Item Image at the very beginning of the Intro Text.

did anyone check if it works with v2.2?

Yes, they fixed it in v. 2.2 but you may want to edit the file to mess with the style of the image, like the alignment.
