Hi,
I can't submit K2 articles ont Front End
I performed the following actions (cf forum.joomlaworks.gr/index.php?topic=7468.0) :
- I Added admin in Site owner group with all editing permissions
- I set the "Global frontend editing features" to Yes in K2 parameters
- I disabled joomla login, and enabled K2 login
- I loggued in FE as admin
-> I can't see any "add item" link anywhere
I added a menu link (public) item to : index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&task=edit&tmpl=component
-> on FE, when I click on this menu item I get a 403 error
I tried to create a K2 menu item Layout without selecting an article, but then I get a 404 in the FE
Did I miss something ?
Thanks for your help

Hi. Please check your steps again. If are logged in and you have the appropriate permissions, the K2 login module will provide you the link for adding item. If the problem persists try to disable caching. By the way, the link for adding items is index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&task=add&tmpl=component.

Why don't they add this as a menu item type? so we can just make a menu link to it?

Your right, this could added as a menu item and only just yesterday I had the same question.
I will add this to my list of things to test and write up on K2Joom.

Hi Jason,
I have done some background work on this, and now have a "Add New K2 Item" in the Menu Manager.
The only problem I am having is linking to the correct file, as there are two ways.
1) To the add item that you would find in the K2 component, this I feel is not the right way and opted for #2.
2) Link to the Create New Item within the k2 login module. This would then allow for a new item to be only created for logged in users, with the correct access level and assign that item to that user.
The only problem I am having at the moment, is that for some reason a link is automatically added to the Menu Item, which is incorrect and I cannot override this at the moment.
Here is an image showing the new Menu Option.
Here is an image, showing the new Add New K2 Item menu parameters.
I will continue debugging this, and will release the new files as soon as tested off.

Hi,
Here is the Joomla link to create a new item in K2 through the frontend:
index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&task=add&tmpl=component
The reason that it won't be in the menu manager -> new K2 list is that it opens in a lightbox from the K2 login module.
