K2 - Extra Fields and Field Groups was created by Mark Banks
Clean install of latest version.
Have created categories and extra fields and assigned the fields to field groups.
How do the field groups get assigned to categories? Can't see an option for it.
The extra field tab on the item creation remains blank.

LOL - took my glasses off - cleaned them - and presto I can see where the option to assign field groups is!
Any chance of building in an option to add two (or more) field groups to a category item - ie a common extra field group that may apply to several categories, and a secondary field group that is applicable to only one category?

I'm looking for a way to add two or more field groups to a category too. How can I do please ? :)
And if anybody know how to post an article in many categories (i.e. An article about Fifa 2010 (who is released on Xbox 360, PS3, ...) he's first in News Category and then he has to be in PS3, Xbox 360, ... sub-categories.
How is this possible ?

adding field groups, create your fields using the backend, go into your category and look for the fields selector - done.

I dont understand what you mean one field group, that is exactly right - you populate the extra fields group with all the extra fields you need.

So i'll try another way to explain myself (sorry but english is not my mother language) ^^
So, first i create a new group of field (let's call it "contact")
Then i create fields for this group (name, adress, country, ...)
And then let's make same thing again but this i'll call the group "contact2".
Now my question : in a category, how i can join the contact group AND the contact2 group to this category ?
Is this more clear now ? :) ...

No worries about your english, its fine.
What you want to do I think is not possible at the moment, you have to put all your extra fields in one group to use - perhaps this is being looked at for future versions though.
Then again I may be totally wrong as i am only scratching the surface of what K2 can do, I need extra fields to be linkable and able to filter...

You can create as many Extra Field Groups as you want, but you can only assign one to the category that you are working in, at the moment.
However . . . . .
This is one of those highly wanted features which is in progress . . . Check :This Link

I have not yet had chance to test this at K2Joom, but others are doing a good job.
