Versioning was created by spadilla
It would be great to see the ability to restore articles from revisions made in the past in case of logout or browser crash. There is a simple versioning for the Joomla core that works quite well with core articles, but doesn't work with K2 articles.
Just a thought (after a browser crash and a headache) :)

Versioning is another BIG feature that is required in K2.
This is NOT a "nice to have" feature. It is simply necessary to get it as soon as possible.
WordPress already have versioning and autosave.
FLEXIcontent already have this.
It is one of the features that Typo3 is shouting about.
Personally, I think WordPress has added a lot of impressive features lately and the development there is moving along nicely. I wish a lot of the features they have added could find it's way into Joomla. Even with all the new features in WordPress, I am still moving sites from WordPress to Joomla because of other features. But I will sure miss some of those features...

I agree 100%.
Wordpress has some great features that have left Joomla behind in some areas, Flexicontent needs to be watched closely too.

There's a load of requests for this on another thread.
Requests For Versioning
Lots of people want it but nobody seems to be listening.
