I am transferring articles from a print magazine into my site for added content. The author who wrote the article wrote it for the magazine (they are not a user on the site) I can create the article as the administrator, and change the alias to the author's name, but how can I create the extended author info at the end of the article for the person who originally wrote it?

Is the only option to register that person on the site and change the author to them?

I've been wondering the same thing... did you figure out a resolution?

Also - more importantly to me - I've been wondering how to get the 'More items from this author' to display items from the author alias field.
