I would like to be able to copy categories, or their settings. was created by Mike Bibik
I would like to be able to copy categories, or their settings. But how to do this?
I want all the categories look the same: whithout authors names for example and and ect.
The problem is: each time had to re-adjust the configuration of the newly created category.

from k2 dashboard run import joomla article (top right corner),it will import all of your article including categories To display your contents you will require to reset your menu, change type to k2 and select appropriate view.

this is a standard feature of k2 categories
look for the param "inherit params" and choose your master category.
I've come up with a scheme to designate a category as a "template category". This helps remember which has the params. look for my other post on it.

Lownotes is right. The inherit params setting is awsome and will save you a lot of time. I use the same technique of creating a template category and tell other categories to inherit from that.

Hi Manukat,
Could you explain the template category technique you use as I am very new too Joomla and k2 and I am having so much trouble with the inherit from category options.
Any help would be appreciated, maybe there is a tutorial somewhere but I cant find it
Thanks in advance :)

Hi Manukat,
Also is there a way to prevent an item image from opening into another after it is clicked on... maybe that is not a good explanation so I will try to to map it here...
On Category page ---> Multiple products with images *** Action ----> click image to view each items product page and details
On Item page ----> Item image with description. There is no comments box, why?? (I want to add comments box there) *** Action ----> click product image to view larger product image popup and it opens another page, visually the same as the Item page with comments and comments box, only then can you add comments or view a larger popup image. how can I change this to occur on the previous page, thus reducing visitors clicks????
Thanks in advance
:)
