Hi. Yes this is possible. There is an option ("Global setting for comments") about this on K2 parameters.

Hi,
I have set the global settings for comments to registered user only. When i log in as a registered user i dont see the comments section for any articles other then the one that user has published. However, it works fine when i change the settings to public.
Does anyone know why this is happening? I am using Joomla 1.5.15 with K2.2 (latest version)
Thank you
GD

Are you using the same item to view as registered, non registered viewer?
Can you supply a link to the page in question?

K2Joom Thank for the reply.
Currently the global setting for comments is set to 'Registered user only'.
When log in as a registered user (e.g. test1) i cant see the comments section for any items apart from items published by 'test1' user account i.e. the logged in user.
In the K2 User Group 'test1' user is in the Registered group with posting comments permissions set to on.
Thanks
GD

OK, I am testing this live now on K2joom.com.
Initial K2 Parameter is Comments = Everyone.
All comments can be seen regardless of logged in or visiting.
Now set to Enable for Registered Users.
Visit a page, logged in as myself and I can see the comments form.
I logged out and now, no comments entry is available, previous comments are still shown.
I therefore suspect it could be a permissions problem.
My account is set as follows.
I am Super Administrator (Joomla), could have a bearing. Check if user is new and created in K2 or was created in Joomla and imported, just in case.
I belong to a group which can post comments and is "Automatically assign group permissions to the children of selected categories" Check this parameter, if set to NO and you are in a sub category then it will not work.

Thanks K2Joom - it was a permission related issue. When i did 'Import Joomla Users' for some reason it created two Registered groups and my test account happen to belong to the wrong group.
Another question :)
When i create new Joomla user will they be imported automatically in to K2 users or will i need to use the 'Import Joomla User' option again?
Many Thanks

Only one question at a time ;) hahaha.
New users will appear in K2 automatically and be assigned to whatever default group/permission you set.
If you have the K2 Login Module published, then they will have access to additional users features.
Users will also appear in the Joomla User List, but you want have a need to go there, as you will be using the K2 User link instead ;)

Hi, i managed to set the comments available only for registered users.
But the non-registered can still read the published comments, can i change this ?
i would like that only registered users can read/view the comments.
