Should Be Like

How Can I Do That...

You refer at the item_view view?? Or category view or category list view?? These are different template files and you should modify the right one.
Anyway, first of all use subtemplate feature, to modify your layouts, so you can keep always original files.

I Was Thinking To Adapt Template Overrides From Another Template That Has K2 Styling....
