How do I uninstall K2?

I second this question - not exactly how do I UnInstall, but what happens to all my articles if I do? I have a client that needs functionality in the display like Teline -- and I simply don't have time to create the modules to reflect that, so need to transfer all the articles we have written in K2 back to joomla -- how do I do this?

Uninstall over the Standard Joomla Component Deinstaller.
Caution : All K2 Item will be deleted.

I read in this Forum that there is no auto option to reintegrate in Joomla - it seems to be handwork.

man. i installed tis because it was suggested for more control in a rockettheme template but i never could figure it nor do i have the time... NOT USER FRIENDLY. and then to find that there is NO "exit strategy" ???? MANUAL UNINSTALL and WITH NO GUIDELINES oh HOW TO at least?!?!?!?!


this will be the last time i install just because the theme needs it. what a PITA!

ok i need to uninstall k2 from my site but i have imported all my articles. if i backup my article and then delete k2 can i then import my articles and get my site back to the way it was prior to installing k2?
