When I try to install the actual plugin in the JCE 2 beta 7 in Joomla 1.5 it works, I can change the parameters in Admin, but I didn't try in front-end if it works...

It's an impressively simple plugin, it should continue to work even on JCE 2.0.

Installed OK. It shows in JCE admin (Profiles).
Have error "Restricted access" in popup window, when i use advanced link. (it is merged to one in JCE 2.0, advanced and ordinary link manager)

And cannot uninstall Advanced Link plugin in JCE Admin.

This does look great and exactly what i was looing for, thank you nicholas.

Small problem I'm having, can't tell if i'm just not seeing what i'm doing wrong or a conflict with any of my installed extensions. I've tried to link several time from one article to another called "Safety Built In" that has an alias of "safety-built-in" The link works and the url gets translated from "joomla-speak" but the title of the page always as ".../product-safety.html"

I can't find any text of "product-safety" associated with either k2 item, so i'm mystified. Does it pull the name from somewhere I'm not aware of, or should the link actually be "../safety-built-in.html"?

Thanks again!

Hi guys! The new version, compatible only with JCE 2.0 RC2 or later and K2 2.4 or later, is now published at www.dionysopoulos.me/blog/k2-meets-jce-2_0

Cheers!

As "JCE people" read this topic here is some small tweak:

www.joomlacontenteditor.net/forum/topic/21364-change-k2-allv...

How to change Allvideos Media Player with new, nice one, from JCE.

For consistency at whole webpage. It is not god to use several media players at one site. Looks bad.

I've recently added this plugin without any problems. Now when I try to add it to one of my new sites, it doesn't work. I tried to install from my tmp folder, but it does the same thing every time, just brings me to a blank page. I'm using the latest version of joomla, do you have an idea why it isn't working?

I've just installed it into a 1.5.23 and it's working fine.

Have you checked if it's disabled for some reason?

Are you by any chance trying to install it through the Joomla! plugin manager instead of through JCE's plugin manager? The former won't work.

I'm using the joomla instal/uninstall through the extensions drop down, like I would do for any install. Is there another way?

BTW, thanks for the quick reply!

Also, jsut remembers.

When I try to upload and install, it make a file in the tmp folder like this, install_4e52e620b44eb.

I found that there were about seven of them in there, including the zip file I tried to upload. The reason for there being seven of them is cause I tried seven times. I even tried to install from the directory. Same blank screen, nothing installs.

Y

You have to use the JCE install interface for that, NOT the Joomla Extensions install tab.

Go to COMPONENTS > JCE Administration > Install

Good luck!!!
