Registered User Items get 403 error was created by Different Color
Maybe this isn't a bug - but normally in a Joomla site, if someone tries to go to a page that is 'registered user'' they get an error line in the template that's 'you need to be logged in to access this page' or something along those lines.

Why doesn't K2 create such an error code in the template? Why is it directed to an ugly 403 error page?

I'm trying to learn how to make a custom error page (and following instructions on how through the htaccess file doesn't seem to be working).... but I wanted to report this - OR get support on why this is happening. Maybe I don't have to figure out how to customize the 403 page?

Hi. This decision was made when we developed K2. The 403 error indicates that the user tried to access a forbidden source. It also sends relative headers to the browser. There is no way to change this without hacking K2 so the best thing for now it to customize your error pages. Maybe we change this behavior in the future. Thanks for reporting.
