I guess I'm still a newb when it comes to K2 so I'll ask a maybe rhetorical question. Does K2 store content in a standard Joomla DB field so that it can be used by other 3rd party modules or does the module need to be programmed to used K2 data?

There are hundreds of great modules for fading newsflash, etc. so I was just wondering how all this comes together.
