Hi, I'm trying on (latest) xampp localhost the latest k2 v2.2. I'm on J1.5.15, and used all the default templates plus Rockettheme nexus (which should be thought for K2).Despite me altering the number of columns to which the "Latest items from (one or more) users or categories" menu type would allow users to  distribute, items displayed are always on one column!
And they are more than enough (50+)...
Is this a possible bug on this view? May I solve it in any way?

The same happens to me, I'm trying with Joomlapraise superblog template (and also checked the default ones), and it keeps showing only one column.
I've thought it was my fault, but now at least we are two.
How to correct this bug?

I installed the last version 2.2 and appear to one column, in the control panel appear to 2 column but in front end is to one column , is it a bug what happens !!

did you try switching to default template?

If you mean my sites default template, then yes, it doesn't make any difference, still displays in one column - see www.lifenet.org.uk. See also my parameters in the menu item attached.

but when I had your one column issue i just reinstalled (after many tries) the whole system with another template, and now it works...

What do you mean by "reinstall the whole system?"

I mean a fresh Joomla copy, then install template, then K2 and so on...

Not really an option, I've just finished loading up all the site, it would take ages to do it all again. It must be a bug if other people are experiencing it to. This is really frustrating!

I tried this (k2 2.2) with just one category only and only get the category title back, if I add a second category it then works and does display in 2 columns, but with just a single category then nothing is displayed except the single category title, no matter what the columns are set to.

It only seems to work wioth a minimum of 2 categories set.

I've been battling to get answers to bugs with paid for components from rockettheme for months.

Can you point me to the line(s) of code so I can fix myself ? or if its too involved Ill just wait.

I've started this topic more than 1 month and a half ago, several users confirmed more than a month ago...

a) it's just your lucky day and you should go and play some lottery
b) you're a so important person to justify an immediate reply from a dev
Don't misunderstand me: K2 is a great product and I will not cease to thank them for it, but it's the user's community being responsive and solving the majority of issues...

I posted because I had a different problem but also because your problem appeared fixed ! I think that this is why your problem was not an issue to those loo0king for bugs to fix. Yes this is free and the community help to solve bugs but this is what is great about OSS, you cant expect an answer to everything but people are watching and clearly responding when there is an identifyable problem.

Have you tried again ? does your problem still exist ?

WORKAROUND!!!

For the problem of the two categories published, but only one needed>

Create a 2nd dummy category, and set its permissions to special and dont it.

In the menu item that points to the latest items, configure it to show the dummy category and the one that you DO want to show.

It should show only the items of the PUBLIC category. Only special users will see the title of the dummy category show up.

MY QUESTION IS,

The primary, secondary and links configuration makes no changes in the "latest items" view, only in category view.

Taking a look at the file in the template folder, the "latest.php" file is lacking the php code that tells it to identify the primary, secondary and links configuration.

HOW CAN THIS BE SOLVED?
