Is anyone willing to allow access to backend to investigate further?
If so, please send me a PM to discuss.
Will post results back to affected members.

I have the same problem and the solution is clearly to activate mbstring() in php.ini
However, my hosting provider (vebnest.com) refuses to activate this feature for my account (reason given is that hey know what is good for them.)
I there another work around?
