Would also like to know how to achieve this, looking at some things a few people did with the extra fields. Currently I am working on some code for the K2 content module, will post if anything comes up.

go to components\com_k2\templates\default\item.php
and appr. line 250 i found the code
div class="itemExtraFields"
within this div tag you may find useful scripts
sorry not including full scripts for it is not allowed in this post
I believe you could make use of this and change the module to your like.
