I am having a problem with the latest items view - it just displays a blank page when I set the source to a category. If it set it to a user it works fine.  I have error reporting set to E_ALL on my server and there aren't any warnings or errors generated.I have even tried installing a fresh copy of K2 and I still get the same problem.  I have left all the default parameters for the menu item and category. Any ideas?

Hi Mark,

To better understand, do you have a link to the page in question?

Do you have any k2 items published within the category that you are looking at?
Are you navigating to the category by menu item or linked from module?

Unfortunately it is only on a private development server at the moment so I can't provide a link.

To explain better I have the following data structure:

Category 1
- News article 1 (posted by User 1).

If I assign a menu to latest items and set the content source to "categories" then choose "Category 1" I get a blank page. If however I then change the content source to "user" and choose "User 1" I see that "News article 1" is displayed when I click that menu.

So yes I am navigating from the menu.

I'm having exactly same problem as Mark - the K2 latest items menu giving me blank pages for selected categories - can anyone help?

I have same kind of working. when only one category is selected for latest items menu type, k2 shows nothing and when 2 or more categories are selected k2 works fine. But I want only one category.

Can anybody solve this?

Hi. This has been posted again and has already been fixed for the next release. If you know what you are doing you can try the SVN version ( Remember to backup first in this case! ). Or wait for the next release.... Thanks for reporting.

I am having problems with this as well.

I tried K2.3 SVN, but with the same problem.

I'm having exactly the same problem. Since 2 weeks I turn around with this huge problem witch stop me to go further. Please, help me.

Did anyone get a fix on this thing? I'm also having the same problem... Anybody know?

I was just having this very same issue a few minutes ago. I was playing with category design options and turned Catalogue mode ON. Once I changed it back to OFF everything was normal again...

 

I know this thread is old, but I've just installed Joomla and K2. "Latest items from (one or more) users or categories" isn't working for me either. I'm testing this on Joomla 1.5.x and the K2 2.4.1. I made some K2 categories and K2 Items, but all I get is a blank component. (Everything else loads, template, modules, etc)
