Few .... after so long time. Finally i can do this thing.Although it still need make some core modding K2 template since i have no choice. But i have tried to make easier that i can.Full integration in this case is mean:- User register & logging will assign to K2 User group (configured via plugin parameter)- Template will replace Avatar / Profile of both author & comment User by JomSocial. I'm confused what do I need to install or do to have my jomsocial users avatars sync with the K2 commenting system.

1. In case you'r using JomSocial as User Management system. And K2 for Content Management system.
So you'll need all K2 User data will "replace" / "exchange" by JomSocial :).
2. I'm working for next version w/ K2Items . Please allow for a time :)

I'm also confused.. can't figure out how to use these plug-ins to replace the K2 avatar/profile with the jomsocial one. One plug-in seems to allow users to include K2 content in their profiles, and the other simply add the users to a K2 group.

can anyone shed some light on this one?

Hi Matt if you want to use jomsocial avatar and custom profile fields instead of k2's, you need template overriding. Please take a look here:

JOOmultiblog is solution so K2 integrate JS with any hacking !.
You can get free version at jooblogs.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=31:joomultiblog-221-free-version

This's PRO [FREE] version with all work as PRO just except linking to JOOblogs.
