Disable system comments in Main Parameters on Dashboard (or any other k2 page in admin). About half way down there is an option to disable under "Global settings for Comments". Not sure if you need to disable also in category [anchor link to comments,comments] under item view options. Not using k2login so can't help on that one. Anyone?

Hi Ibrahiam,

If you enable the K2 comment system, you should also register at recaptcha to get the API keys to also add into the k2 Parameters.

When you have done that, then you will get the recaptcha security and extra recaptcha fiels at the bottom of the comments table. You will not get any spam, unless some one manually adds it, but that will be a risk with any commenting system.

It is possible to add disqus commenting instead of the K2, but this requires further modifications to K2 core files.

Good to see you have comments working, Ibrahiam. Jcomments would have been another option besides Disqus for alternative commenting systems for K2.

Glad you got it working.

You might also be interested to know about the Comments Auto Notification that we have on JED and K2Joom.com.

It adds an extra input field to K2 Parameters so you can add email address to send the notification.
When someone adds a comment, it send email to that address, so no need to have to login to check K2 Comments.
