I need to be able to search inside k2 and other different components. Have you tried using the standard Joomla search module, instead of the K2 one?
Which version of K2 are you using?

I'm not using K2 search because I have k2 andn non k2 items, and I need to be able to filter the search depending on the kind of element. I have now enabled mod_rokajaxsearcx and the probem persists. K2 version is 2.2, Joomla version is 1.5.15, -advancedsearch extension is dev.anything-digital.com/Advanced-Search-2/
