Reset Default category parameters was created by Just Organize Your Stuff JOYS
I am struggling to get categories to display correctly across the board. I am sure it is because I played with all levels of the category parameters. Now that I am more familiar with how k2 works, Is there a way to reset all my category parameters to default? I have no idea how k2 determines which parameter it will pull for display when I set a menu link to a category with multiple children. I discovered when I did this--if one child was different, it would use that one. So I just want to go back to the beginning and make sure I am using the Inherit parameter options correctly. But since I changed things in various categories and different times during development, I don't think the Inherit parameter works. Please help.

Hi Cathy,
Currently there is no option to reset the categories to a default parameter setup, they way to do this would be through the database.
Two options. Create a new categories, time consuming. Import so the default k2_category parameters to the database.
I am looking into an alternative.

Thanks Simon. Not super confident with database stuff so I think I will just create new categories. Lucky I don't have that many. Your insights, much appreciated!

I am looking the same thing. Where the general parameter's values are stored in db?

I found it. They are stored to Jos_components table in K2 row.
