Empty RSS / Page Refreshes. was created by k2k2k2

Hi,
Category RSS buttons just refresh the page in question, I have made sure my feeds are not empty..

Site in question www.bt-rocks.me, click on BT Shows

Really need this fixed, not sure why it is, have reinstalled

I had some trouble with the site, when a menu item is clicked, the page and menu shakes as the information moves.

Try turning off your SEF and retest please as the RSS feed code is not formed correctly.

cheers simon, thanks for coming back so quick..we are moving off that template as firefox causes that

The SEF is standard joomla...,i'll try turning it off, but i would like the SEF

I can understand the need to have SEF, by turning it off and verifying that it is working in the off state, we can then see if we need to make changes to the SEF, maybe via .htaccess.

So far, touch wood, I have not had problems with RSS using the Joomla SEF, but with some category items.

Let me know how you get on, else I will send you a .htaccess file I have used which seems to work well.

well , i am going back to yootheme where i have another site working with k2 already, rss is fine...

i'll see how i get on with that

yes i use rochen for both

one site uses yootheme + k2 = fine

this one is joomlabamboo + k2 + sef = not working

ok, loaded up the site in a yootheme template, still no joy i am afraid..when sef's are on

can i pm / list here the htaccess please..

aaa, i have forgotten that the site is working off a sub directory, as an add on domain, cd it be the rewritebase?

confusing thing is, I have seen it work, i have conencted to the rss once

i have recently changed my k2 name btw, nothing to do with the ning spam.

ok, I am going to have to press on developing the site without k2, and hope I can migrate my articles over later. I need the rss output asap from the news section for twitterfeed. I cd either try the htaccess you mentioned or happily give you admin access.

hi, that was kind of a veiled hint :-) to "I don't really want to press on without K2". i know I can import my articles later, but can you have a look at the site please, or send that .htaccess you refered to..?

Hi Simon,

Last week support from K2 was great, but I have gone back to the old days of waiting days for an answer. This site goes live in 2 weeks, a great PR opportunity for K2 i might add, and I'm going live with basic J1.5 sections and categories, all because of RSS. its nuts..
