How to show most popular items in k2_mod_tools?

How to show most popular items in k2_mod_tools? was created by frankmail007

What I'm going to do is to showing my most popular items in my front page. But there is no options to do this in k2_mod_tools? If I use k2_mod_contents, there is no problem to sort it this way. But this is not what I want. I only want to showing some summary information about my items. Any suggestions?Thanks,Frankmail

When you say "summary information" what do you mean exactly? Can't you just use the introtext of your items?

The summary info is something like the title,author,created date etc of the item but no contents.

You can just enable these options from the modules parameters and decide what you want to show and what not.

My problem is I can't display them in popular order if I use k2_mod_tools. But if I use k2_mod_contents, I can't disable the contents of the item being shown.

So why you don't want to use the mod_k2_content? It has the most popular option and you can display all preferable information.

I don't want to show contents in this place because it's called "Most Popular". It only list some minimum info just like Joomla's mod_mostread module does.

Sorry, but I still don't understand why you cannot use the mod_k2_content. Joomla's mod_mostread module shows a list of items titles linkable. Why you cannot do this with mod_k2_content? You can choose to bring a number of popular items with showing only their title linkable.

But how I can only show linkable title? I disable everything except Title,Author, the content is still being shown.

It's a Chinese web site. The "Most Popular" panel is under "最受欢迎"

Did you ever find a solution...just experienced the same problem...and Yiota was "right on" if you use mod_k2_content and select title only and hide everything else it works perfectly...Thanks!
