K2 and sh404 URL paths was created by Border Control Internet Limited
I want to move articles on an existing Joomla site in to K2, but the url of the article changes to include the category in the path, which I do not want. The url's of the articles in standard Joomla do not include the category in the url as it is set by my options in sh404 not to show catogory or sections. K2 ignores these settings and adds the category the the url.How can I remove the category from the K2 article url?

Hi Peter,
Make sure you use K2 2.4.1
-> Go to the K2 Dashboard
Click on the Parameters button (top right)
At the bottom of the list, you should see some sh404 options including "sh404SEF URL category prefix for items". There you can select to show all, the last or no category in your SEF Urls. (Make sure you scroll back to the top and Save ;-)
NOTE: unfortunately due to a current limitation, individual items behave differently than category layouts. All individual items will have no category in their URLs but the category layouts will still show the categories in their URLs. In that case, you can do create some aliases in sh404 to handle the transition.

Peter, you're making me blush! ;-)
Make sure you're also aware of the Alias title bug that is fixed in the SVN, see this thread:
