White Page On Saving First Category After New Install -- Demo Content Download Also

White Page On Saving First Category After New Install -- Demo Content Download Also was created by John G. Walter
New install of K2.  
When trying to save a category, I get a white page with the following error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() in /chroot/home/devoneta/dev1.tangodesigns.com/html/jgw-zephyr/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2category.php on line 49Fatal error: Class 'JLoader' not found in /chroot/home/devoneta/dev1.tangodesigns.com/html/jgw-zephyr/libraries/loader.php on line 161

Go to k2 dashboard, check the information tab
you will probably find that mb_internal_encoding is not enabled.
Check with your hosting provider about enabling it

Would that be 'Multibyte String Support'? It is the only item that is labeled as diasabled.
