Backend K2 admin extension

I'm thinking of developing a K2 dedicated backend extension with
extra admin features.
The first feature asked by Stavros is to have a button to delete/trash K2 expired items.
What is the feature you would like to be implemented ?
This extension would be developed for free.
Regards,
Olivier

That sounds awesome!
Not sure in what direction you want to take it but here are some things that would improve the workflow of my content creators:
* Being able to visually distinguish between items that are unpublished, published and 'scheduled' (published but not live because the publish date is in the future) - this can be accomplished with a 3 state Published icon.
* Add a publish date column and be able to sort items by publish date instead of just created & modified (I've actually hacked that in my K2 admin to do it but it's kind of crude and hacky)
* Make a K2 replacement to Joomla's "Recent added Articles" module in the control panel (meaning with an actual link to the item so you can edit directly - unlike the K2 Dashboard's Latest Items. Make it an admin module so we can configure it to show in the basic control panel.
That's off the top of my head, I'll think a bit more about this...
Thanks,

The first release of the extension is finally here !
I've called it 'Joko' (Which means 'Game' in Basque) and you'll find it in attachment.
You just have to install it and there will be a new 'Joko' item menu in the K2 backend menu.
The features are :
- Item list with a new 'publication state' filter : past, available & incoming items
- New toolbar button to directly delete items
- New columns 'Start' & 'End' for the publication dates.
- Some useless columns have been removed from the K2 core item list.
I'm waiting your feedback...

First of all, thank you for bringing so much to the K2 community, we are lucky to have you!
My feedback:
Functionality access: are you planning to keep Joko as a separate item view or is it just while people provide feedback? My vote would be to have Joko overide the actual K2 item (I don't even know if it's possible though). For me I really don't care that much but having just one place to manage items is easier on the content creators.
Awesome Start & End publications columns, those are pure gold ;-)
Love the new filtering based on the publish states. I personally would suggest renaming the status to "Expired", "Live" (unfortunately, can't really reuse published there) & "Scheduled".
Any ways to have the publish icon reflect this tri-state like Joomla does? (see screenshot)
Columns: thanks for cleaning some of these up. I agree with all your choices except for Access level and Order. Now of course, every user will have their preference based on what type of site they run. Maybe the best approach to please everyone is be able to decide what column is visible/hidden in the parameters?
Navigation: When you are in the Joko view, the K2 navigation links disappear and it's harder to navigate back to other K2 sections (but maybe it's related to my first comment).
I'm super excited by this extension, I actually talked to my main content creator about it last night (just happened to also be my wife ;-) and it was the best Valentine's present I could have given to her ;-)
Thanks again for all you do for us!

You're right, i'm going to rename the publication list options.
I'm going to add a publication column with the different states as Joomla! does for content.
The problem is i can't easily override the K2 items view, that's why it's apart. This new view is, for me, just an extra and the K2 core view should stay the most used.
I'll try to enhance the navigation between Joko and the other K2 views.

Basically some kind of central assest manager that would let you update a document, change its title etc. Arguably this should be done in item attachments....
Image manager would be trickier and needs more thinking about (MD5 storage etc)

I agree with Alan Sparkes - Attachment Manager and Image Manager please.
Actually need the Attachment Manager with statistics if possible !
Thanks
