PDF Attachments was created by Juan Pablo Campa

Hello, I am Juan Pablo from Spain, first of all excuse my bad English.

Recently I've published a web wihch is very important to attach pdf to several files, but I can't do this. It is very extrange because in my 'production server' I did.

I look around for any permissions and they all are ok.

What can I do??

Maybe you need to change the max upload size on that server.

Thank you, I checked, and it's over 3Mb. The new server is based on Windows... does it matter?

No errors... when I choose the file all appears to work fine, but then I can's see the new file uploaded in the attachments tab.

Did you try to upload a small size file, just to see if this is not a file size restriction?

Yes I tryed it, about 2kb..... when I choose the file all appears to work fine, but then I can's see the new file uploaded in the attachments tab.

Does your temp folder and media folder have the appropriate permissions?

Hello, I'm having the same problem, but only with pdf files. If I upload an image (png for example) it works.

Yes, thank you, i've just try with an image and it runs...only pdf fail....

When I attach a jpg or png image it works fine, but if i try to attach a PDF file, it doesn't give any error, and the result is as shown in the image. But no file is uploaded to the server. The directory rights are ok, otherwise it wouldn't work for image files.

Is there a solution for this problem? We need to attach PDF files!

Looking to the entry in the database, I see that the fields for the attachment are empty (see image attached).

Hi Isa, we have the same problem as you, but when we had the web on windows hosting it worked fine and now on linux hosting it doesn't work al all.

Antes teníamos la web en un servidor windows y funcionaba bien, pero ahora en un servidor linux ya no funciona.

I join this discussion since I am in exactly same situation than you.

On another forum, I didn't find solution but people tell me it is a problem with the host and the permission. I agree that if image, word's documents and rar file are ok and not pdf, it shouldn't be a permission problem, but they seem to say it is.

The fact is that when my website is locally installed, I have no problem with pdf.

I tested on those host, both on linux : Amen and Nuxit...

Searching and searching, testing and testing, we found out that it works with chrome, but not with firefox!! (Namoroka)

Any ideas?????

Isabel, thanks for this tip, It works for me - PDF uploading works in Google Chrome browser. Thanks A LOT again!
