Remove "Child Categories" title

Remove "Child Categories" title was created by carol Manoogian

Hi. I am working on making dining directory for a site and so far have not figured out how to hide the title of "child categories".

The main link will go to "restaurants" and the child cats are amercian, etc., but I need to remove or hide that child cat title.

Any suggestions?

You disable this in settings for Category. (in your case parent category)

I don´t have K2 at this Notebook, but it is right under first options for "Leading", where you choose number of Items and type of pictures.

Put all options there att "Disable". If you don´t want this block with subcategories.

And go to your Joomla menu link and disable Title. (last option there - right). You have Title twice.

thanks for your reply.I don't want to disable the blocks or the sub category titles, I just want to hide the words "children categories"

I disabled sub-category title and it removes "american", but not "Children Categories"

Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I don´t recognize that "Children categories". And cannot force it at my K2 installation.

Go to Menu and see if you choose just parent or if you marked also subcategories. If you marked all then your menu link override category settings.

Your template comes with some predefined things for K2. Check if you have template override folder in template folder.

html--->com_k2.

If you have then there is it.

I went to the template file and found <h3><?php echo JText::_('Children categories'); ?></h3> I took out the word "children" and it made no difference in the front end. I check all the other folders also, but this was the only occurrence.
