We have about 40 websites and we want to update them from Joomla! 1.5 and k2 2.4 to Joomla! 1.7 in following weeks after it's release. I wanna ask when K2 2.5 is coming?
Please help us decide on our future, we don't have much time.

Any news?
Joomla 1.7 is here but there's no news about K2 2.5 release date.
Is it possible if we want to contribute to K2 development? We need it.

Any news yet when there will be a stable version for joomla 1.7. I need to transfer about 500 files i had in the joomla 1.5 version.
Also, will the new K2 have a migration tool. Currently everything is next too impossible.
If the development plans are in a stall mode, then i need to begin transfer the K2 items to Articles.
Any news would be helpful.

I resolved this issue for myself. I installed Feed Gator for joomla 1.7. You can import rss feeds directly into your content categories. I simply subscribed from my Joomla 1.7 to the the K2 items in Joomla 1.5. It does it all.
I'm disappointed to leave K2 but the development communication is non-existent. It was making me nervous just sitting here and waiting to see what they came up and whether or not it was an easy migrate.
I imported about 300 articles from K2 into Joomla 1.7 content and it took me about 1 hour for it all to be done, menus and all.
Good bye K2 for now.
