Category Issues was created by David James
Hi All
I am new to both joomla and K2 and currently testing K2. I'm currently experiencing an issue when creating categories. I'm running Joomla 1.7 and installed K2 version V2.5 for Joomla 1.5/1.6/1.7 running on localhost.
The problem is:-
I've created categories 3 levels deep i.e. (movies > 2011 > January). Then created a new menu item from categories. Then added 3 x items to category January.
On the front-end when I click on Movies link all is ok, then when I click on 2011 I get the following error message.
Object not found! The requested URL was not found on this server. The link on the referring page seems to be wrong or outdated. Please inform the author of that page about the error. If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.Error 404
Can you help, much appreciated

Hi Kannan
I've fixed the issue now. I turned on MOD rewrite and renamed the .htaccess file and all is working fine now. However I did discover another issue with K2 and Joomla 1.7. After installing K2 the user registration and profile would not work at all nor did K2's extended version.
I therefore switched to Joomla 1.6.
Thanks
David James
