how can I change the date format of the absolute date. I want to have the german date format like:
09-08-2011

You can read this joomla doc on how date is displayed and where to change. See here
K2 uses the
DATE_FORMAT_LC2 So just change the value in your german language ini file.

Thanks for your reply,
but this is not helpin. The date format LC2 should be correct in my de_DE.ini. I have also tried to do some changes here but the have no effect to the comments display. Any other suggestions?

Try this - Change the value of LC2 in de_DE.ini
DATE_FORMAT_LC2=%d-%m-%Y
DATE_FORMAT_LC2=%d-%m-%Y

I have added this to the en_EN.ini and de_DE.ini - still no effect to the comment-module. :(

i just tested mine and it works - Joomla 1.5.23 and K2.4.1.

Youre sure that we are talking about the module comments? I mean the module latest comments on my left side. I just have regocnized that now the date format of my articles have changed. Im talking about mod_k2comments. Best regards
