The fatal error.. multi byte was created by riccardo bella
the error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() in /...../www/administrator/components/com_k2/tables/k2category.php on line 49
I know this it's a php problem linked to multibyte.
But i don't know how to solve the problem, I can't add categories, and so I can't add items... I like k2.. how do I enable mulibyte? My site is hoste by
www.ilbello.com
(maybe i need a different host... if you know one that has all paramter right for joomla and k2 i will with no problem change my host, becouse the site is new, and the only thing I've done is install joomla and k2, else, if you know how to fix this in ilbello.com, good anyway)Thanks for your help

Hi,
You can check if its enabled in K2 dashboard -> Information tab
The extension=php_mbstring must be enabled in your php.ini . Check with your host. Read here

Hum, that's disabled, yes, and there aren't way www.ilbello.com will change theire php settings (as i read in their documentation and in the forum)... so my problem will persist if i stay on that host? ..Can someone suggest me a free host service (possibly no ads) that is compatible 100% (or.. high compatibility) with joomla and most of his components? I really like K2.. ^^ Anyway kanna thanks a lot for your help ^^

You're welcome. I'm not sure if you can find a Free hosting service as in Free as a free beer!. There might be some limitations. If you want to invest then there are quite a no of hosting perfect for Joomla like iRedHost, Rochen or Cloud Access.

hum... since what I plan to do is just for fun, i wanted something free...
I'm just fine with something free with limited database, limited space and limited band (someone is unlimited too ^^), that support joomla, and k2. (joomla support is easy from free service, but not always k2.. just i don't know wich are compatible with k2 ^^)
