Hi Folks,

Okay, I'm getting the hang of this category thing but I can't figure out where this "1" counter is coming from.

I've set up a category view, 3 columns across (first image missing) and each one has the number "1" above it. I've tried turning everything off in the item view options in category listings but I'm stumped. I figure its some sort of counter but for what?

Suggest checking other plugins in your system.
There are also other posts here about it, search for "number 1"

Yeah ... I asked the ultimate noob question.

Thanks William, I'll check my plugins. I tried disabling RokSocial as another thread suggested (and I'm using a Rocket Theme template) but no go.

Solved ... disabling Content - RokSocialButtons under the Extensions:Plug-in Manager did in fact remover the number 1 occurrences. Before I had just killed it in the template settings which did not.
