[bugreport] content in extra fields was created by Michael
Hi,
I set up a list for used vehicles with a list as category view and a detailpage with price, weight and much more. it also contains a contact field, wich i have prefilled with html code for contact data, also activated the wysiwyg editor.
Unfortunately, everytime you hit save the html part will be filtered out.
Is it possible to fix that or include an option to disable it?
I already disabled it in the global joomla settings.
HTML Filter Off for Super-Users.
Otherwise it's a really great extension, i love it.
Oh and yes..
Admin-Templates would be highly appreciated, that we don't have to use this Hack. I think this is a super easy thing for you to integrate.

For my client, he needs at a specific category only the extra fields and images tab. nothing else.

If you are under Joomla! 2.5 you need to go to Site->Global Configuration->Text Filters and set "Filter Type" to "No Filtering" for the desired user group.

Hi, I did that already, it's not a joomla related issue, it gets filtered from k2 itself.
It removes all html tags for the textarea even if editor is enabled.
Do you know where i can fix this?
I also tried with changing joomla options from "no filter" to "own blacklist" (with an empty one of course ;)"

Try to disable the editor and see if the code is still stripped. If not, then the editor is stripping the code, not K2.

already tried that, it removes still all html tags. its on the k2 side, not joomla.
i'm a really experienced joomla user, template creator since mambo 4.x ;)
it's not joomla, trust me
it stores everything you write into the textarea field without html tags in the database

OK just tested under Joomla! 2.5.7 with no issues. I created an extra field of type textarea and i enabled the editor. I created an item, put some HTML using the editor and the HTML is still there.

its joomla 2.5.7 with K2 v2.6.1
the problem is not creating a new article.
the problem is, i enter a default text in the extra field type textarea with html code
business adresse, phone nr etc..
if i create a new article, it takes this default text but without any html, when i update this text and save it, it will keep the html

Just applied a fix for this in the SVN. You can see the changes at code.google.com/p/getk2/source/detail?r=1755. Please let me know if that fix your issue.

Hi Lefteris.
I am experiencing the same issue mentioned above ie html being stripped from Extra Field default Text (Text Area Field). I have installed the SVN version as well checked Global Text Filter setting as mentioned as well as tried disabling editor but still HTML is strippped. is there any further steps I can try because I too really need this feature.
Thx in advance Pete.
