Hi... I have a multi langauge site and I´m trying to make the searchbox works in english (the default langauge is spanish)

But the live search refuse to work with others languages... it only search in the default language, although I set up especific categories.

Is this a bug? or I'm missing something?

No, I mean... the module live search, works fine ONLY in the default language of the page that is spanish.

When I change to english or portuguese the module simple don't find nothing, when I have a LOT OF ARTICLES in that languages

When I force the module to search in especific categories, IT ONLY WORKS if the categories are in the default language

Also what do you mean that you have a lot of articles in other languages? Are you using JoomFish or the Joomla! 2.5 multi-language system?

I'm using:

K2 2.5.7
Joomla 2.5.6
SH404SEF 3.5.1.1299
Sh404SEF language plugin

The site works properly, and the languages switcher works fine too. The search box works ok, only if I put a word to search and going to the search page...

BUT the LIVE SEARCH BOX, I mean where the results appear at the same time as putting the query, that doesn't works. It simple only shows articles in the default language...

I mean with articles, that I have a lot of articles in portuguese, but the live search doesn't works in portuguese, and I have a lot of articles in english but the live search doesn't find any of them.

The live serach works in multilanguage sites in joomla 2.5?

Hi. Have you enabled the "System - Language Filter" plugin ? This is required by Joomla! in order to have the multi-language features working. Also check that the categories of the non-English language are also assigned to the corresponding language.

The System plugin multilanguage is NOT enabled, cause it confflict with the SH404SEF multilanguage filter.

The site works perfect with sh404sef and multilanguage switcher...

the only thing that doesn't works is the LIVE SEARCH BOX

In other way, the search component works fine

Joomla! (and K2) requires this plugin to work in multi-language mode. You can also go to modules and find the administration module named "Multilanguage status". Enabled it and a link named "Multilanguage Status" will appear on the upper right part of your administration. If you click it, it will tell you if your site is setup correctly to use the multi-language features.

De plugin is not enabled BUT the site works perfect thanks the SH404SEF multilanguage plugin...

The ONLY thing that doesn't work is the LIVE FILTER

You should enable the Languagefilter plugin. Otherwise K2 Live seach won't work in mulit-language mode.

Thanks for the help... but finally the point is using K2 with SH404SEF and in Multilanguage... If I active the joomla multilanguage plugin the SH404SEF simply stop working...

Is the new version 2.6.0 fixing this issue?
