Remove http:// from the default link extra field was created by Keith Dick
I have set up an extra field using the link option.
When setting this up the field automatically displays 'http://' , I have tried to delete this from the field but when saved it reappears.
This is a bit of a pain for a couple of reasons, firstly, if the users doesn't want to add a link in the article they have to delete it otherwise the link field with http:// shows up in the article also if they cut and past the link into the field it quite often has the http:// already in cut URL so they still have to delete it.
It would be easier if this could be removed as default if preferred.

Hi. What version of K2 are you using? If users leave just the http:// as value the extra field should not show up in the front-end.

My site is showing Joomla! 2.5 and version K2 v2.5.7 installed but I have installed the later SVN as suggested to resolve a different issue. The date of the SVN was 12th August.
The field label displays and 'http://' in the field value. If I delete the ' http://' when adding the article the field does not display.

Hi,
I have this problem too, but since I use Gavick templates which are build on template overrides it seems I have to tweak this myself (even though I have the latest K2 installed). Can someone please give me detailed information on what to change and where.
Thanks quys
