ReCaptcha is blocking registration of new users. I heard that at times there are two recaptcha forms that try to provide code, but only one is visible. So when the code is entered it always returns an incorrect response.
Also, I have...
Captcha - ReCaptcha - enabled
System - GKreCaptcha - disabled
Enable reCaptcha on registration form
Yes
And I have recaptcha enabled for global default configuration.
Do I need to edit the code in a particular file to delete the system recaptcha?
Is there a way to fix that problem? Thanks. :)

Hi. K2 uses reCAPTCHA only on comments. If you see the reCAPCTHA in the registration page, it's because it's enabled in your Global configuration. Have you setup reCAPCTHA correctly?

Your account has been created and a verification link has been sent to the email address you entered. Note that you must verify the account by clicking on the verification link when you get the email and then an administrator will activate your account before you can login.
The issue is that there are three recaptcha settings.
1. global recaptcha
2. joomla user recaptcha
3. K2 user recaptacha (in advanced settings in parameters of K2 user).
Only one can be selected, ie, option 3. if you open that you wills see it in the advanced settings.
So with that, I was able to finally overcome the nightmare.
Thanks for sticking it out with me.

when I try an disable the recaptcher plugin I get the warning "Captcha plugin not set or not found. Please contact a site administrator"
Captcher shows on login form anyway
click register and I get this error message
Fatal error: Call to a member function checkAnswer() on a non-object in /home/redline/public_html/test/libraries/cms/form/rule/captcha.php on line 52
I'm using the login page and not the module
