Running Joomla 2.5.7 and K2 2.6.1, problem link option in extra fields not working.

When Item is saved it automatically inserts "A" in Link description, "r' in URL and changes to open in same
window. never mind what you put in the fields. What is more concerning if articles with extra fields are re-saved (edited/saved) it will change extra link to those "default" values from above, never mind that extra filed was not edited (changed image or text in main part of the item). Seems like a loose default value somewhere....

Had to reverted back to K2 2.5.7 because website has extra fields (link type) on all pages.

Hope it gets fixed soon, till then no upgrade.

Extra fields do not work.

Just tested a text and a url type extra field in my test site j 3.0 and k2 2.6.1
All worked as expected, default value worked, then changed it and the new value linked fine and opened in a new window.
Try creating a new category, and a new xtra field group with fresh examples and see if it works, if if doesnt i would backup and reinstall k2

That was the first thing I tried. Created new category and article no. it will not save anything but A,r and same window.

I am talking about problem only whan you setup extra field as link, if you set it as textbox there is no problems. Only if you choose to set it as a link it will not save. Also note I am using Joomla 2.5.7.

If I try to insert text or a url in any "Link" fields, the text or url gets removed and replaced with A and r.

Same here, here is the catch:

Super user saves fine, all other users don't. For those experiencing the same issue try it out and confirm.

Please ensure that the user is allowed to post HTML content. You can see the text filters under Joomla! Global Configuration->Text Filters
