K2 Content Module porblem was created by Stephen hartley
I am running Joomla 2.5 on a localhost with K2 on a Shape5 vertex responsive template.
I have a menu item Explore with 4 sub menu Items- all k2.
One menu item is local restaurants which has an external link to the K2 latest items in a category. to display it rcorrectly. All is working well except I am trying to put a K2 content module above the body which shows a list of the restaurants. i can get the module to work no problem.
My problem is I can not get the module to display on the menu assignment local restaurants by itself. it will only show when I select the menu assignment Explore (the parent). this then displays it above the body on Explore and all the sub menu pages.
Any suggestions?

if you cannot get the module assignment to work with the regular joomla module manager, try modules anywhere by nonumber.nl

Okay a little crazy having to create a module to call a module but!
I tried it and got the same results.
It is as though it does not match the item to the menu item.
When I created the formatting using K2 on the page I had to set the menu Item to an external URL to get it display the same page otherwise it displayed the page without the K2 formatting.
Could it be because of this?
this one has be confused, but I must say I have only used K2 a little in the past, this is the first time making most article K2 items.

@Stephen hartley
Is the module assigned to the menu link that is pointing to the Latest view? If so, check your template, maybe you have code that is loading specific positions per page etc.
