I'm new to Joomla and just found K2 after trying several other options and it looks like this will be perfect for what my client is asking for.

I looked through the Showcase and found this site, which has almost exactly the functionality/components my client is looking for and I was wondering if anyone can point me to any of the components or give me any tips that would help me get started building this?

Specifically, I need to figure out how to implement (or what component is used for) the top rotating banner and the sliding featured stories just beneath it. This is almost exactly the layout and functionality my client currently has on their site and wants me to put in an easy to update framework.
