Can not re order Items in K2 back end! was created by Paul Paulson
Greetings K2ers
This is my first post here and it seems deceptively easy
In the joomla back end I have Categories and Items set up.
I can resort Categories when I hover the Category list on the left hand side and drag and drop.
this does not however work for Items!!!
I hover on the left hand side of the Items list and get the tip "Please sort ordering to enable re rendering"
But try as I will I can not move the items.
What am I missing
thanks in advance

Hi,
Could you confirm you drag & drop in the category list of K2 backend to reorder categories ? I've never sen this feature before and can not reproduce it.
To reorder K2 items, click on the 'order' column header title and you'll be able to reorder items by clicking up & down arrows.

I am in the back end of Joomla 3.0
In the K2 Item section
There is a list of my items
When I hover over on the left hand side I assumed that I could drag and drop to change the order of items!
Pretty much as I can do in the Categories list!
If this is not possible please advise how can I can reorder items?
There are no little arrows like in many other Joomla Modules?
I guess it is one of those things that is so intuitive that it is not so obvious ;-)
thanks for your response

Paul,
As written in the tooltip, you have to click on the header order column title which is...the one where you drag & drop your items. So just click on this header and you'll be able to reorder your items.

Oh how Stupid of me.
You are of course absolutely right.
I ended up going into the articles and changing the date to change the sorting.
Have been using easy Blog for a number of years and so far I am finding K2 back end much more powerful
All be it a tiny bit weird sometimes
If you ever have any Final Cut Pro X questions drop me a line ;-)
thanks for taking the time
