Extra fields was created by Cindie Gilbert
I am finally seeing my page as I want it, but I don't see the extra fields. They are missing. Do I have to enable this or something? I can post a link if need be.

For extra fields
Create extra field group
create extra fields
goto category and set extrafield group to inherit from
also set extra fields to "show" in category and/or item view
goto item - be sure there is a value in the extra filelds

I have four categories, but I have three extra field groups/extra fields Pros Cons and a select/tic option. I want ALL of these to show up on each item/category. When I went to category I could only select one either the pros cons or the select/tic. Any way to get around this?

well I had time to think on this so lets see if I have this right
I have to create the same thing for each of my categories? So instead of having it listed once each will be listed four times? Do I have to change the names of the fields and group fields?

If there extra fields are the same for all four categories, just assign the same group to each of the categories. let k2 do the work

I did figure this out and got it set up. So let me tell you what I (ahem doofus) did wrong. I wasn't breaking the extra fields section up enough in my thinking. I was thinking one step and one was title instead of several being linked. I did find a great page that explained it all to me. Located here: joomtraining.com.au/tutorials/extension/k2/using-extra-fields
If I can offer a suggestion that can save a lot of questions on setup. You have videos, but your videos need to be marked to say what is in them. They say like "Extending K2 Through Plugins Part 1" or "Extending Your Blog Part 2". But it does not say in title what plugins are covered in the video. Or just how it extends the blog. Or what all is covered. If you are trying to put a website together time is precious. Your videos are good, and they could help to cut on the amount of questions on this forum. But only if you allow them to help you out. Looking for info you don't want to go through two or three videos to get an answer.
