"Read more" doesn't work for Joomla 3.0 was created by James
HI folks. Just Installed Fresh Joomla! 3.0.3 Stable
At the latest K2.
I've noticed that the "Read More" html doesn't work.
Anybody found a solution for this? I find it irritating that they haven't worked out the bugs yet before public release.

Hello,
I just used the 3.0 update feature to discover and update k2 to latest and the read more works.
Please check the blog posts in case you are using an outdated override...They have change a bit, and could be your problem.
If that isnt the case, try changing your joomla template to default and test.
Some template makers provide k2 overrides that may not be updated to the latest yet...

Hello again. Thanks for the advice.
My Joomla version is:Joomla! 3.0.3 Stable [ Ember ] 04-February-2013 14:00 GMT
My K2 is only a few weeks old. I've tried "Checking the extensions" from the extension manager and it doesn't find any updates.
Can I install the latest K2 over top my existing one? I don't want to lose my articles. I'm just using the protostar and beez default templates. Both aren't showing read more.
My K2 component and k2 plugins are all 2.6.5
One funny thing in Control Panel when I observe "Checking Joomla" on the right side, it says unknown version. If I click that it says:
An error has occurred.
0 No HTTP response received.

Replied by James on topic Sweet News! A Solution!
Ok I'm not sure about the Read More, Page Works Nicely now with this new plugin. Read here:
Well I searched and searched. Found nothing. So I ended up trying to also use Joomla! articles on our site, and that brought up heaps of new issues. I resumed my search for a solution and FINALLY found
this extension which works. Just go into the plug-in and select yes for K2 items (and also sh404sef if you use that). Now it works. Freaking finally.
The new plugin is here:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/news-display/article-elements/articles-tabs/20479?qh=YToxOntpOjA7czo4OiJteWpzcGFjZSI7fQ%3D%3D
